Episode 52 - Day 7 of 30 Days To More Sales - How to Choose What to Fix in Your Product Business This Week

Sep 17, 2026

Six Things Needed Fixing — Only One Could Go First

Have you ever started Monday with six things that needed fixing, worked on all six, and got to Friday with none of them finished?

I have.

The Amazon ads need attention. Shopify needs an email. Walmart.com needs a listing fixed. Somebody on TikTok Shop needs an answer. Inventory is getting low.

And, of course, there’s probably a new product idea sitting there looking a whole lot more fun than any of it.

Every one of those things can be real.

But they can’t all get your best attention at the same time.

That’s what we’re talking about in Day 7 of 30 Days to More Sales.

Because one of the most frustrating things about running a product business is being incredibly busy all week and still feeling like nothing important actually got finished.

The problem isn’t always your to-do list.

The problem may be that everything on the list is being treated like it deserves the same amount of your time and attention.

In this episode, I’m showing you the simple way I decide which problem deserves to go first.

Because you don’t need to fix the whole business this week.

You need to fix the next right thing.

IN THIS EPISODE, YOU’LL HEAR:

  • Why working on everything can leave the most important problem half-finished
  • The difference between keeping the business running and actually improving it
  • Why touching six projects isn’t the same as fixing one
  • The three questions I use to decide what deserves attention first
  • How to tell the difference between a real problem and something that’s simply making you nervous
  • Why every project needs a clear finish line
  • Examples of how this works with Amazon and Shopify
  • What to do when several problems all seem important

YOUR ONE CLEAR NEXT STEP

Write down the three problems that are yelling the loudest in your business right now.

Not ten.

Three.

Then use the simple test I walk you through in the episode to decide which one deserves your best attention this week.

The goal is to choose one useful fix with a finish line you can actually reach.
