I love watching trends. I am a huge fan of Pantone and how they put out their Pantone Color Of The Year each year.
I always try and make sure most of my products follow the trends. When a person buys my products I want them to able to match what they are purchasing other places. For example, my candle wax colors will match the colors in a rug they can purchase at Target or pillow from Pier 1.
Did you ever wonder how the big-box stores have the same colors when you shop? Pantone always announces the colors they plan to see ahead of time. For designers and product development people this helps give us a leg up on how to design our products so they match what is in the market place.
The have announced for the first time that there will be two colors this year.
Introducing Rose Quartz and Serenity for 2016.According to Pantone, Rose Quartz and Serenity are welcoming colors designed to evoke reassurance and security.
Joined together, Serenity and Rose Quartz demonstrate a balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace.
I am not surprised by the Rose Quartz. In my humble opinion, I think they threw in Serenity because the designers will be doing a lot of pink and all men just won't wear pink. This gives them the option of having two colors as well as a blend.
Here are some of the ways we are already seeing the colors at retail. Now that the colors have been announced expect to see the colors everywhere in 2016, even as the main color theme at weddings.
Where are you seeing the colors already?
